Jesus Chooses His Disciples
Jesus told people everywhere He went about His Father in Heaven. He called twelve men to help Him spread the good news of God's love. Jesus wanted everyone to know how good and loving His Father is.
Jesus called Peter, and Andrew. He called John and James. Today Jesus calls us to also follow Him and spread the Good News that Our Father in Heaven Loves us.
Jesus calls all Christians to help build a better world. He wants the world to be full of God's goodness. He wants us to Love One Another. In John 13:34 Jesus says; "A new command I give you; Love one another as I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
Sometimes we call people who act like Jesus "SAINTS". Some Saints that we remember during special holidays are St. Valentine and St. Patrick. Can you think of people who are Saints that you know? Maybe it is your Sunday School Teacher, your Minister, or your own parents.
When we become a Christian we start to follow in Jesus' footsteps. Some kids ask themselves "What Would Jesus Do?" in everyday situations. This reminds them to be loving and let God's Love shine through us.
