Genesis
1:20
20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life,
and fowl [that] may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters
brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God
saw that [it was] good.
22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the
seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day

In these verses
we find the continuing creation of life upon the earth. First the sea creatures, which
probably included fish, whales, and other air breathing mammals and reptiles, and marine
crustaceans that live in the seas. |

|
|

Next God creates
the animals that live in the air, which probably included birds, flying mammals and
reptiles, and winged insects. |

|
|
Verse 22 tells
us that He created these animals ready to reproduce after their own kind. Therefore, they
were created as adults and fully mature. It also states that these animals would reproduce
after their OWN KIND and this would not allow for evolution from one kind of animal to
another. |
| Also
note the order of creation among the animals. Their creation coincides with the order of
creation of the environment in which they live. The first environment was water, and the
first animals were sea creatures. Then on day two God created the open skies beneath the
firmament, and the second creation of animals were those that fly. The third and last
environment, land, was created on day three. On the last day of creation the land
creatures are made. God keeps order and purpose in all that he does. |

Genesis
1:24
24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and
creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and
every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that [it was] good.
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have
dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and
over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his [own] image, in the image of God created he him; male and
female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish
the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of
the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which [is] upon the
face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which [is] the fruit of a tree yielding
seed; to you it shall be for meat.
30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that
creepeth upon the earth, wherein [there is] life, [I have given] every green herb for
meat: and it was so.
31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, [it was] very good. And the
evening and the morning were the sixth day. |

|
|
God's first act
upon the last day of creation was to create the land dwelling animals. This would have
included the dinosaurs since they are land dwelling creatures. Each animal was designed to
reproduce after itself, and not to evolve into something other than its own kind. |
|
|
Verses 26, 27,
and 28 describe the creation of man. Note that man is the only creature that God created
in His own image. That makes man special. Man alone was created to have a unique
relationship with God. This made him very different from all the other creatures that God
made. |
| A perfect
world could not have been built on death as many contend.
|
|
Verses 29 and 30
indicate that plants were different from the animal life forms. While animals have
"the breath and blood of life within them" plants do not. Therefore plants are
not alive in the same sense as the animals are. God gave the animals the plants to eat for
food. God never intended for animals to prey upon other animals and eat meat. All of God's
creatures were to eat vegetation as instructed in these verses. |
|
At the end of
the sixth day God looked upon all that He had created and found it to be very good. This
would suggest that Satan had not yet fallen. If He had, the world would be soiled by His
evilness. A Holy God could not possibly look upon a creation that had been infected
by sin and call it very good. It is much more probable that Satan sinned after the sixth
day of creation when all things were as God created them - perfect. |

Genesis
2:1-3
1. Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the
seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested
from all his work which God created and made.
|
 |
On the seventh
day God rested from his work. No, he wasn't tired. The word rested means that he
ceased or finished. Since the seventh day, God has not created any more kinds of
life on the earth. His creation was complete at that time. Because God rested
on the seventh day, we set aside one day each week to cease from our work and remember our
Creator. |
