This poem was used for a special Halloween section for Teens about the Hell on Earth that some teens go through.
The poem expresses the real feelings that a mother went through when her daughter was abused by a pedifiler. Today this site is seen by many hurting parents and teens who are going through these same terrible feelings. I appreciate the emails that you send to us.
There were many months of going through the legal system, doctors, counseling and attorney visits before the pedifile was convicted. My daughter started counseling that was paid by the state. When I attended one group session I realized that this counseling was not centered around my Christian beliefs. Therefore I choose to take her out of their counseling and trusted that God would lead me, her mother, to give her the best direction. I am thankful that we moved away from the town so that her friends and surroundings would not be a constant reminder of this painful experience. My prayers and trust in God was answered. Today she is a well adjusted beautiful young lady, and I do not see any trace of emotional scars. It was like a terrible storm that came upon us. God held us together while the waves crashed hard against our boat. Then God caused the wind to cease, and the sun came out. Now that the sailing is smooth we seldom remember the months of that storm. Even though it seems so hard to believe now, I want to encourage you. There is hope in your tomorrows. God is worthy to be trusted and praised!
I pray that God will comfort you so that someday soon God will use you to be an encourager to others. In 2 Cor. 1:4 Paul writes: "comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God"
