THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

   
I am Princess Jamie.
The most important thing in the life of a Christian is to be filled with the Holy Spirit! Jesus said, "Without Me ye can do nothing." (1) Jesus is in believers in the person of His Holy Spirit. When we are filled with His Spirit, He works fruitfully through us. The Holy Spirit also gives us gifts that will help us walk in God's Power and help us in leading others to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

There are many gifts that the Holy Spirit gives. One of the first gifts listed in 1 Corinthians 12:8 is the gift of Wisdom.
Being wise leads to making the right decissions. (2) King Solomon asked God for Wisdom, and God was so pleased that he asked for Wisdom that God not only blessed Solomon with wisdom, but also with riches, wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had before him or any after him.

(3) To reverence and obey God is the beginning of wisdom. Learning about God results in great knowledge. If I could receive only one gift from the Holy Spirit I would ask for Wisdom.
